Building Useful Citizens after their regular luncheon THURSDAY J I meeting the Kiwanis club visited the or organizations organization's organizations organization's organizations organization's or- or project to aid underprivileged children children children chil chil- dren at the Felt recreation center located on the second floor of a building on Regent street just north of First South street i The center is designed to provide play facilities facilities facilities ties for children who live in crowded quarters In the heart of the city and who have no rio parks or close by Except for the recreation center their only place for play is in busy streets The youngsters youngsters' welcomed the presented a short entertainment and showed examples examples ex ex- amples of their handicraft They were eager bright and happy Their pleasure at the club members' members visit and obvious appreciation of what the have done for them was thanks enough for lor the civic ivic group b but t the club has earned this word of recognition of their valuable valuable valuable able service to childhood their generous aid in inthe inthe inthe the difficult task of building healthy and useful citizens out of the brick and concrete and turmoil turmoil turmoil tur tur- moil of the heart of a crowded city
