F E. E Townsend or Frank Arbuckle a Townsend plan lead leader or Tell Teli of Warning The lawyer lawer told the committee that hat at one time ho he had warned Dr Townsend and Robert Clements then secretary of the organization against continuing to collect mone money to o finance a lobby for the tho McGroarty McGroarty Mc- Mc Groarty pension bill He charged leaders of the movement movement movement move move- ment purportedly began a campaign to collect to finance the lobby which ho he alleged cost 2404 Moore said Mid ho told Dr Townsend and Clements Clement that as a district attorney I have sent men to the pen for less than this Clements ho said patted him on the he back and said Instructions have lave been given to cease collecting funds Relates Relate Incident Relating an incident which took place at Colorado Springs Colo Cob Moore told the committee that a Mr Mrs William Marshall Townsend plan worker said to Clements Wo We must do something If It we dont don't what will these old people think According to Moore the reply from rom Clements was We dont don't gi give o a damn about the theold theold theold old people On another occasion tho the lawyer said Dr Townsend opened a a. letter containing a n 5 bill for the movement movement movement move move- ment and put it in his pocket with the Jie smiling remark Well veil that old sister Is certainly doing her part Moore charged that his ob erva tion as counsel for the lobby trying to o obtain passage df of C the pension bill Introduced by Representative John Steven McGroarty D.
