Show SERVICE FLAGS TO BE GIVEN LOCALRESIDENTS All eligible homes of Bingham district, the residences of mothers and wives of men in the armed forces of the United States, will in the near future be presented with official American Legion service flags by the auxiliary to 4he American Legion post No. 30, it was decided Wednesday evening eve-ning at a meeting held at the home of Mrs- J. Dewey Knudsen, CoDDerton. Mrs. Mike Brisk, chairman of war activities for the Legion auxiliary, will be in charge, of the project. A report was made on the sale of war savings bonds and stamps. Thanks go to the Altar Society of Copperfield, the Elva-Ruth Shoppe, the Bingham Merc, and Copperton Cash Market for sale of corsages. To date 280 corsages have been sold. At the R. C. Gemmell club New Year's Eve dance $25 worth of corsages and boutonnieres were sold by auxiliary auxi-liary members. Mrs. Francis J. Quinn was pro- f ram chairman for the evening, amphlets on keeping down prices, pric-es, or .telling duties of housewives house-wives in preventing inflation, were .distributed through courtesy cour-tesy of the Bingham Ration of-, fice. Donald Isbell sang two vocal vo-cal solos. Rules for the Americanism Essay Es-say contest, to be conducted in grade school of Bingham district in February, will be given schools this week by Mrs. C. W. Adder-lev, Adder-lev, chairman. Also rules for the Poppy poster pos-ter contest, which ends in April will be given schools by Mrs. Brisk, chairman. Mrs. R. A. Murano was welcomed welcom-ed to the club as a new member. Assisting Mrs. Knudsen in planning plan-ning the meeting were Mrs. Mike Zampos and Mrs. Gust Alexion. o |
