Moth Activity I ILess Less Than Usual PROVO June 15 Because IS-Because Because of or rain and cool weather the codling moth is not as active this spring as usual according to Anson B. B Call assistant Utah county agriculture agent Mr Call reported that the first moths were were caught from May 27 to 30 30 but only a few were flying There Therel was a period of five days das when no no moths were cau caught ht in the traps the rain evidently retarding their ties tics As it takes eggs from 10 to 14 days to hatch there may be a few worms which have been hatched now but not enough to justify a spray Mr Call all reported The present weather conditions Indicate in indicate In- In that the first cover spray should be applied some time this week
