Lake in charge of or the street department reported reported re re- re ported crews had constructed 20 new catch racks which were installed on culverts and storm sewers to catch debris swept down b by the freshets He also said arrangements had been made with the contractor constructing construct construct- ing the Thirteenth South street unit of or the storm sewer to remove equipment equip equip- ment meat and open that channel for surplus surplus sur sur- plus water Commissioner George D. D Keyser in charge of or the water department said Mountain Dell reservoir in m Parleys Parley's canyon canon is filling more rapidly than is considered safe for this time of ot year and plans were bein being made Tuesday to allow a portion of the water to drain Through cooperation with the street department an outlet channel was being cleared Tuesday and it was hoped the water could be released from the reservoir Wednesday
