Show LIONS HEAR WAR BONDSPEAKER W. Russell Anderson, chairman chair-man of the Bingham Canyon district Third War loan committee commit-tee spoke to members of the Bingham Bing-ham Lions at their regular semimonthly semi-monthly meeting held Tuesday evening. Mr. Anderson urged Lions to do all they can toward promotion of bond sales. He stated stat-ed at the present time Bingham district is running behind on bond purchases for this drive. He also explained the sales talks necessary to sell bonds and gave an outline on what has been done locally in making the Third War Loan drive a success. A. J. Ablett reported that the city council had discussed garbage gar-bage collection in the city. The council is attempting to convert the large city truck into a garbage gar-bage collection unit and plan to purchase a smaller truck for the street and water department. The Lang company of Salt Lake City reported to the city council that they could place a larger body on the present truck. Earl T. James, zone chairman for this district, reported on the meet:ng held with representatives of Lark, Draper, Riverton and Sandy Lions clubs at the Bingham Bing-ham club Monday evening, September Sep-tember 13. Chris T. Praggastis reported that he and President Joseph P. Scussel attended a meeting of the Lark Lions last Thursday evening. The road sign given the Bingham Lions for organizing the Lark club has been presented present-ed to yie Lark organization. |
