Show $5000 PURCHASE WAR BONDS MADE BY CITY OFFICERS Main business at city council meeting Wednesday evening was approval of investment of $5000 of city funds in U. S. war savings bonds, series G. The purchase is in line with recommendation of the Utah Municipal league and is the city's response to statewide state-wide third war loan drive. Problem of a reported increase in number of rats in certain sections sec-tions of the city was discussed. Health authorities have advised Francis J. Quinn, chairman of sanitation, that the problem is one to be solved bv individual households. Vigilance and good traps can keep the number of rats down. There are no rats living liv-ing in the city sewer, Mr. Quinn affirms. |
