Show V cRelatives Give Shower For cent Bride Family members and friends of Mrs. James ("Bud") Thompson a recent bride, honored her with a bridal shower at the home of Mrs. O. A. Hjorth Saturday evening. eve-ning. Beautiful roses about the entertaining room were compliments compli-ments of Mrs. Delia Johnson. The guests were entertained with two lovely solos, given by Mrs. Geraldine Simmons and accompanied ac-companied by Elizabeth Alleman. The book, "High Time," was reviewed re-viewed in a delightful manner by Mrs. Mae Huntington and Lila Johnson gave two piano numbers. At the close of the party, tasty refreshments, in charge of Mrs. Gladys Felix and Mrs. Lois Miller were served to thirty-four relatives rela-tives and friends who presented the enest of - honor with many lovely gifts. Out-of-town guests included, Mrs. Willard Miner and daughter, Barbara of Tooele, Florice Hjorth, who is spending the summer working work-ing at Tooele, Avis Thompson, Leah Lindsay, Lila Johnson and Mrs. Ruth Bennion of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Charles Miner, Mrs. Fay Thornton of Salem and Mrs. Ross Miner and daughter of Mid-vale. Mid-vale. Mrs. Thompson, the former Dorothea Dor-othea Willis of Alexandria, La., recently accompanied her husband to Utah. He spent the last of four and a half years' service in the Army at Camp Claiborne, La., and was discharged June 19 at Fort Douglas. They are maikng their home at present in Salt Lake City at 442 South First West street. |
