Show P0ULTRYMEN GET $65,000 ON CHICKEN SALES During 1944 the Poultry Department De-partment of the Utah Poultry Producers -Cooperative Association had a very successful year, handling hand-ling the largest volume of poultry in the history of the Association, announces Charles P. Rudd, man-np-pr nf the Poultry Division. Mr. o Rudd continues: At the close of the year the Poultry Department showed a net savings of approximately approxi-mately ?65,000 over and above operating op-erating expenses. This $65,000 will soon be shared by" poultry raisers who marketed their chickens t through the Association. The checks, to be received by the producers pro-ducers this week, will be based on one cent per pound on all grades of chickens marketed. We are very happy to make this additional payment to the poultrymen of Utah and our Idaho territory. We are hopeful that when the 1945 season ends there will again be a substantial additional addi-tional payment for our producers. Poultry volume so far this year is very encouraging. |
