Show Legion Seeks Cover Girl To Reign During Tournament The Springville American Legion posts No. 28 and No. 46, are sponsoring a contest, the winner of which will reign as the Cover Girl of the State American Legion baske tournament to be held in Spring-ille, Spring-ille, February 26, 27 and 28. The winning girl's picture will appear on the official tournament program and she, with her partner, part-ner, will be special guests of the Legion during the 3-day tourna-: tourna-: ment. I Six rules have been made gov- ' erning the contest, and girls of this community are urged to make arrangements now to enter. The contest is open to all citizens citi-zens of Springville and Mapleton. i Pictures of each entry must be on glossy print and full length in street or formal attire. The American Legion reserves the right to use the winning picture pic-ture in bust size. Name and address of each entry must be written on the back of each picture. The choice of the three judges will be final in the contest. . The tournament, which is expected ex-pected to bring several hundred j out-of-town visitors to Springville, will be played in the high school gym, under the sponsorship of the Springville and Mt. Nebo posts of the American Legion. Players in the tournament will be Legionnaires, Legion-naires, and many of the team members are former college stars. The tournament will feature games by teams which have won in each of the eight Legion districts dis-tricts in which the state is divided. di-vided. The winner of the tournament tourna-ment will represent the state in the national playoffs. |
