Show City Passes Budget Ot $260,192.55 For Current Year Budget For 1948, Approved After Public Hearing- Is Approximately $25,000 Higher Than Past Year Officials Report The Springville city council has approved a budget of - $260,192.55 for the coming year, following a public hearing at the council rooms on Monday evening of the past week. The figure is approximately $25, - 1 000 more than that of the past , year. The total budget is divided as follows: General fund, which includes in-cludes expenditures for administrative, adminis-trative, cemetery, city custodian, fire department, city pasture and city hall, $21,380.73. An estimated expenditure of ' $7600 is listed for city parks and recreation; $6,250, B and C road fund; $29,296, streets and walks; $18,724, waterworks fund; $108,-708, $108,-708, electric light fund. A total of $2000 was set aside in the 1948 budget for the revision of city ordinances. This will be added to a $1000 earmarked for the same item in the ,past year budget. For public health and safety, a total of $25,306.32 is listed in the budget with $2000 for irrigation fund; $9,925 for sewer fund; $3,-751.07 $3,-751.07 for the library fund; $1,-250.36 $1,-250.36 for the art building fund. For electric lights and waterworks water-works bond sinking fund, $18,250; airport improvement, $2000; public pub-lic building erection and maintenance, mainten-ance, $2,500.71; auditing fund, $1,-250.36. |
