Show KIWANIS CLUB REPORTS MANY AT ANNUAL MEET Meeting Featured By Talk On Farm Machinery Given By Rowland Cannon Approximately 145 sugar beet growers and Future Farmers attended at-tended the Kiwanis-sponsored banquet ban-quet and program last Thursday evening, at Memorial hall. The meeting was called to order by 1J. W. Grant, president. Oliver Dal-ton Dal-ton was chairman of arrangements. arrange-ments. Rowland Cannon, supervisor of mechanized development for the Utah-Idaho Sugar company, was ' the principal speaker of the eve-l eve-l ning. He gave a comprehensive j talk on new types of sugar beet 1 machinery, explaining the develop- ment of improvements. Kae Weight, accompanied by Mrs. Lola Weight, gave two vocal solos during the meeting. The next meeting of the club was announced for March 22, at which time Wesley Lloyd of the Brigham Young university faculty, facul-ty, will speak. Paul Thorn is scheduled as the toastmaster. |
