Show WHO WAS SHE ? A small grave in Northwood cemetery with only a number, 1565, to identify it, holds the body of one of the six unidentified victims vic-tims of the circus fire at Hartford, Hart-ford, Conn., on July 6, 1944. The fire claimed 168 lives and sent more than 600 others to hospitals. Two detectives, neither of whom knew the little six-year-old girl, placed a bouquet of flowers on the grave on the anniversary of the tragedy, and continue to wonder why the body remained unidentified unidenti-fied and unclaimed. No friend or relative of the child had ever made inquiry about her. - |
