Show CHURCHES ... ' Mapleton Ward . . . The Daughters of Utah Pioneers of Mapleton will be in charge of the meeting Sunday evening in the ward chapel, and they have secured Mrs. Blanch Beal as the speaker. There will also be a supplementary sup-plementary program with Mrs Sadie Whiting, camp captain, in charge and all members of the ward are urged to be present. Second Ward ... Dr. S. Eugene Dalton, who is here on vacation from his practice in Atlantic City, N. J., will speak in the Springville Second ward meeting Sunday evening, beginning begin-ning at 7:30 p. m. in the ward chapel. He will tell of his latest research work in hearing and of how hearing may be improved. Dr. Dalton is a well-known authority on this subject and his research work has attracted much interest and attention of medical authorities. authori-ties. He is advocating a universal check of students to test their hearing and he will discuss the benefits of such tests. The meeting is under direction of the Elders' Quosrum and Mrs. Helen Thorpe and Mrs. Geraldine Simmons will give a vocal duet. ! Don Miner is in charge of the program. pro-gram. Third Ward... Grant Thorn, national Jaycee vice-president has been secured to speak on the subject, "Future Leadership", at the Third ward meeting Sunday evening. The meeting will begin at 7 p. m., and is under direction of the Elders' Quorum. They have also arranged for a fine musical program. Fourth Ward . . . The Fourth ward Sacrament meeting beginning at 6:30 p. m., is to be presented under direction of the Genealogy committee, with S. L. Mendenhall in charge. LeRoy Tingey of the Sixth ward, is to be the speaker, and a fine musical program will also be given. Bishop Glenn Christensen also announces regular priesthood to be conducted Sunday, immediately after Sunday School, at .11 a. m. Fifth Ward... The Elders' Quorum, with Ernest Er-nest Boyer in charge, will present the program in the Sunday evening eve-ning meeting of the Fifth ward, beginning at 6 p. m., in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel. A fine speaker has been arranged for in the person per-son of Harold B. Pratt, former president of the Mexican mission. Supplementing the main talk will be a fine musical program. Bishop J. Y. Bearnson incidentally inciden-tally announces that a 'fine air conditioning system in the Second ward chapel makes it a comfortable comforta-ble meeting place, even during the hottest weather. Sixth Ward . . . Attorney Frank S. Campbell of Rupert, Ida., will speak at the Sunday evening meeting of the Sixth ward in the Fourth ward chapel, begininng at 7:45 p. m. Glenn Holley and Freeman Bird of Mapleton, will furnish music. The meeting will be in charge of the stake missionaries. Atty. Campbell is a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hatch of the Sixth ward, and husband of the former Lula Hatch. . |
