Show fourth Parade Promises To Be Biggest Ever All Business Houses And, Others, Contacted For Entries In The Huge Parade Outlined As Major Entertainment For The Day Committeemen for the Fourth of July celebration celebra-tion announced Wednesday that plans are progressing progress-ing for one of the largest celebrations here in years. The entire day's program will be in the form of a welcome wel-come home for the servicemen of Springville. Scheduled as one of the majors events is the big parade which, without exception, will be the finest fin-est ever presented in Springville, according to members of the committee com-mittee in charge of Jiis event. Businessmen are being contacted and everyone is expected to enter a large float in the parade. Practically Practi-cally every business concern has signified intention to cooperate with the celebration committee to make the parade a success. The floats may be of any nature, but every business concern is expected ex-pected to be represented as well as others, including civic clubs, educational ed-ucational groups and churches. Blaine Thorpe is chairman of the parade committee and is being assisted by Maurice Anderson, Dr. C. W. Judd, Harrison Conover, and Harold Christensen. The Kiwanis club is in charge of parade plans. In addition to the parade, other fine events are scheduled for the day and these will be announced as plans develop. The Hobble Creek Riding club also announced Wednesday that an amateur rodeo will be staged on July 3 and 4, at the ball park in connection with the Fourth celebration cel-ebration and the two days will feature an exciting and well-developed entertainment. New chutes are expcted to be installed by that time and to be used by the amateur ama-teur stock wrestlers. |
