Show Highly Recommended . Meat Balls With A Swedish Flavor . "How can I give a recipe if I never use one, said Mrs. Ted Larsen, above, when contacted for her favorite dish. She comes highly recommended as a good cook and has had considerable experience. "How would you like my Swedish Meat Balls, she asked, and though we had never tasted them, that word Swedish made them sound good and just a little different. Mdst people have 7nade meat balls, but perhaps not just like this. Try making them next time by Mrs. Larsen's recipe, which is as follows : SWEDISH MEAT BAXLS 1 pound of hamburger Va, pound of sausage . 2 eggs about 5 slices of bread about 1 cup of milk . 1 small onion, minced 1 teaspoonful allspice salt, pepper to taste. Place slices of bread in pan. Pour milk and eggs (beaten) over the bread and let stand long enough to soak through. Add onion, salt, allspice and pepper to meat and mix thoroughly, then add to bread, milk and egg mixture mix-ture and mix well with hands. Place hands in water and roll meat into balls and fry in frying pan until quite well done. Place in another pan well greased, set on very low flame and let steam until un-til meal is ready. |
