LEO HARMER exception Will ZMark Fiftieth oAnnvversity Mr. and Mrs. A. Leo Harmer will celebrate the occa-' occa-' sion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a reception e in the Mapleton ward chapel next Wednesday evening, March 24, to which relatives and friends are invited. Residents of Mapleton for the past forty years, Mr. and Mrs. Harmer have taken an active part in civic and church affairs of the community. Mr. Harmer was born April 25, 1879, in Springville, where he spent his early life. Since living in Mapleton, he has served as town mayor and a member of the town board. 5c He has always been active in church work and was chair-OC chair-OC man of the building committee for the new ward chapel. Mrs. Nena Goodmanson Harmer was born in Iceland, January 20, 1880, and five years later came to this country with her parents. She has taken active part in church, having hav-ing served in the Primary and Relief Society for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Harmer moved to Mapleton from Canada Can-ada in 1907 havino- gone to Raymond, Alberta, Canada, shortly after 'their marriage, March 23, 1898. Mr. Harmer retired from farming recently. The couple are parents of twelve sons and daughters, with nine living as follows: Mrs. Elva Averett Mrs Helen Hayrnond, Harold Harmer of Springville; Arthur Harmer, Ralph and Lucille Harmer, of Mapleton; Mrs Eva Allan, Payson- Mrs. Erma Anderson, Gooding, Idaho; blame Harmer, Sahara Village; also 24 grndchildren and one "J great-grandchild. |
