Show . DEVILS LOSE TO PR0V0 FIVE IN RETURN TILT Red Devils Give Provo Champs Stiff Battle Friday Despite 42-18 Setback Score Provo's smooth-clicking Bulldogs took the measure of the Springville Spring-ville Red Devils here last Friday night 42 to 18 in the final practice prac-tice game of the year. The Simmons-coached machine clicked from start to finish despite a stubborn battle put up by the Red Devils during the first half. Not until the third quarter did the Devils look like the losing club and only then when Provo's sharpshooting Rand Clark broke loose with his unstoppable but effective ef-fective southpaw shots which netted net-ted 16 points. Also breaking loose in the final period for heavy scoring scor-ing was Suker, who counted 15 points. Hansen, for the Red Devils, counted 10 of the 18 points. None of the other Springville cagers could hit the hoop with any degree of accuracy to assist in the scoring scor-ing department. Despite the large margin of victory vic-tory for the stellar Provo club, which incidentally was the latter's eighth straight win in as many starts, Coach Hughes' club played a better game than it did earlier in the season, and the boys are steadily improving.
