Show Win The War ,' " "'X i '- " i COKDOVA, ILL. Although there are less than a hundred students in the grade school here, they have worked and saved and denied themselves candy to buy more than $1000 in war stamps and bonds (purchase nnt mntnrilv value of bonds) in the first year since Pearl Harbor. It was Principal George Kinman's idea to form a "Win the War Club." Appropriately, Approp-riately, the first stamp was bought by Barbara Turner (left above), daughter of Lieut.-Com-mander and Sirs. H. I. Turner. She knows she is helping her daddy win the war. Barbara is president of the club. Emma Jean Robinson (next to Barbara) has purchased more stamps than any other club member and Raymond Morthland (right) is the most consistent purchaser. |
