Show ANNUAL REPORT GIVEN BY LOCAL FIREMEN A report of the Springville Volunteer Vol-unteer fire department for the past year shows that the per capita loss by fire was only 76 cents per person, basing the population on 5000. This amount is exceptionally exceptional-ly low, compared to the national per capita loss of $4, according to Chief Hastings Smith. The report is as follows: Calls made, 23; estimated damage, dam-age, $3,824.50; estimated endangered endan-gered property, $184,225; approximate approxi-mate loss, 2 per cent. County calls made, 14; estimated estimat-ed damage, $615; estimated endangered endan-gered property, $152,950; approximate approxi-mate loss, one-third of one per cent. All calls made numbered 37; estimated es-timated damage, $4,439.50; estimated esti-mated endangered property, $337,-175; $337,-175; approximate loss, 1 per cent. |
