Show MOTHERS WERE HONORED BY THE LEGIOX AUXILIARY at a special party Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon at the Memorial hall. Mrs. Mary Z. Hatfield, Gold Star mother, was a special guest of honor, and President Ada Barron was in charge. Acting as toastmaster, Mrs. Esther Es-ther Johnson conducted a program pro-gram emphasizing a spring theme of May flowers in connection with a nicely arranged luncheon. President Ada Barron welcomed the mothers and guests. Mrs. Cleonda Miner, poppy day chairman, chair-man, talked on the poppy poster contest and announced winners, Calvin Finley and Shirley Shand, each of whom was presented with a cash prize. A tribute to mothers was given by Mrs. Manilla Brown. Luncheon was served from long tables to more than 80 members and guests, each of whom was presented pre-sented with a lovely gift. |
