Show POPULAR SPORTS NOW UNDERWAY Summer baseball and softball activities are rapidly getting into full swing here, according to reports re-ports from the recreational leaders. lead-ers. This week the call for all interested in-terested boys under the age of 17 years and who are interested in trying out for the American Legion Le-gion Junior baseball team is being issued. All fellows interested in this team should meet at the ball park Monday night at 4 o'clock. Softball will have its official opening here the latter part of the month. However, the Girls' Debutante Debu-tante league has already begun and games will be played here on Wednesday nights. The schedule will be released soon. The Springville city baseball team is now working out daily in preparation for the opening league game here Decoration day. The local team will be competing against Nephi, Levan, Payson, and Genola, of the Central Utah league. All games will be free to the public with but a few exceptions excep-tions those being on holidays. |
