Show MRS. MARY BINKS HONORED ON 80th BIRTHDAY Felicitations and best wishes were extended Mrs. Mary E. Parry Binks on her eightieth birthday Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norris Binks, Mapleton, by more than 50 members of the family children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Binks was born May 13, 1861, in Berkenhead, England, a daughter of John Parry and Eleanor Elea-nor Carter Parry. She came to Springville with her parents when she was 12 years old on July 2 4, 1873. She was married to W. J. Binks and is the mother of seven living children as follows: Mrs. Sadie Coleman, Manti; Royal Binks, Schofield; W. J. Binks, J. A. Binks, Mrs. Zina Dibble, Norris L. Binks, and Ernest F. Binks, Mapleton. Ma-pleton. Mrs. Binks has been active in Relief society work for many years and has also been affiliated with various other church organizations. organiza-tions. She has completed on the average aver-age of one piecework quilt a month during the past year to contribute to the Relief society and has done all their piecework as well. She does other types of fancy work and has just completed a beautiful beauti-ful crocheted piece for the Relief society room in the new Mapleton chapel. |
