Show CAMP AARON JOHNSON, D. U. P., MET THURSDAY afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mae Smith, with Mrs. Annie Wheeler, Mrs. Zelma Hjorth, Mrs. Salena Kelsey and Mrs. Josie Alle-lman Alle-lman as assisting hostesses. , The program featured a lesson on "Early Bands In Utah," given by Mrs. Delia Harris, and "Early Bands In Springville," by Dorothy Haymond, who took her information informa-tion from reminiscenses by her father, fa-ther, Amasa Haymond, who was a member of early Springville bands and orchestras. Mrs. Clara Carter gave the history of William Carter, pioneer blacksmith of Springville. Melba Child entertained with piano selections and there was group singing of songs written by the early composer, George Careless. Captain Josie Alleman was in charge of the meeting. |
