Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Rowland left last week to spend a few days with their son, Ted Rowland, who is in the army air service near Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Thorn, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Hugh Baxter, have gone to California to visit their sons, who are in the U. S. army service. Mr. and Mrs. J. E.Hoyle and daughter, Connie, of Tooele, were Springville visitors Sunday. Mrs. William Webber of this city is visiting relatives and friends at Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Dunkley left recently to make their home in Spanish Fork. John Blanchard returned to his' home Tuesday from Huntington Park, Calif., where he had spent the past two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Blanchard. Mrs. Sarah Dalton has returned to her home after spending two weeks with relatives in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hugh Brown of Glendale, Calif., spent two afternoons of the past week in Springville. She visited vis-ited Mrs. Ella Miner and also Mrs. Anna Mendenhall. Thirl Tew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Tew, Jr., of Mapleton, plans to leave February 16 on a mission, the place of which has not been definitely set. Lora Hilton of Provo was a special spe-cial guest at the farewell social for Ray Whiting at Mapleton Tuesday evening. Mrs. Naomi Rowen, who has been visiting several weeks at Mapleton, Ma-pleton, left recently to join her i husband and make her home in Salt Lake City. I |
