Show Black Hawk Veterans, Pioneers Set Annual Reunion Feb. 13 Supper at 6 p. m., Program and Dance Are Features Planned By Sons-Daughters of Veterans and Pioneers Sons and Daughters of Black Hawk Indian War Veterans and Pioneers will hold their annual reunion on Friday, February 13, at Memorial hall, announces Captain Elmer Bird. Supper will be served as usual at 6 p. m. on long tables, with places arranged for each ward group. Everyone is invited. in-vited. The entertainment will also feature a splendid program and dancing. Directed by Captain Bird, a meeting of the general committee was held recently and members were appointed to make arrangements arrange-ments for the affair. A. O. Thorn and Leland McKen-zie McKen-zie are in charge of the music and hall; Mrs. Mary Weight, Mrs. Elmer El-mer Bird, Ernest Binks, Mrs. Mary Childs, and Mrs. A. Y. Wheeler, the program; John Whiting and Mrs. Net Thorn, making coffee for the crowd; Val Curtis, Willis Sumsion, Lorenzo Weight, William Allen, and J. T. Wheeler, tables; Mrs. Malinda Sumsion, Mrs. Ella Whiting, Whit-ing, Mrs. Ella Miner, Mrs. Al Riding, Rid-ing, Mrs. Lillian Binks, supper. Mrs. Theo Thorpe, Mrs. Ida Weight, and Arthur Bird, were appointed to secure tokens of remembrance re-membrance for presentation to each veteran and pioneer and their wives and widows. During the committee meeting it was also decided to purchase savings stamps with funds in the committee's treasury. |
