Show f JR. CHAMBER TO HEAR DR. C. CULMSEE Publicity Committee Will Conduct Meeting On Wednesday, June 17th Carlton Culmsee, professor of journalism and director of the extension ex-tension division of Brigham Young university, will be guest speaker at the meeting of the Springville Junior Chamber of Commerce at the Chicken Roost next Wednesday Wednes-day evening. The meeting will be under the direction of the publicity committee, with Kimball J. Larsen as chairman, Kay Johnson, Earl Lundquist and Ray Klauck, members. mem-bers. Special musical numbers will be vocal solos by Veloy Singleton and accordian selections by Louise Clyde. At the first outing Wednesday night, June 3, the sports committee of the Jaycees staged one of the most rousing programs of the year. More than thirty couples were on hand to take part in the festivities, festivi-ties, enjoying a softball game in the early evening, a festive luncheon lunch-eon around a huge bonfire, and later an impromtu program. So successful was the meeting that the Jaycees voted a have the sports committee Bill Ruff, J. Lewis Bird, Ray Klauck and Frank Crandall conduct the first meeting meet-ing of each month during the summer sum-mer in the form of outings. |
