Show OFFICERS NAMED AT DISTRICT LEG.-AUX. MEET Mrs. Harlan Boyer was elected vice-president of the Fourth district dis-trict at the Legion and Auxiliary convention conducted in Payson Saturday evening. Mrs. Irene Mower of Provo was elected president. presi-dent. The Springville unit of the Legion Le-gion and Auxiliary were represented represent-ed by Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer, the former recently elected commander com-mander of the Legion, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson, and Mr. and Mrs. Orval Singleton. Principal speakers at the convention con-vention were Ross Glassman of Ogden, department commander; Arthur Horsley of Salt Lake, department de-partment adjutant; Mrs. Allison Bills of Midvale, department president; pres-ident; Mrs. Goldie McShane of Salt Lake City, department secretary. secre-tary. The convention was in charge of Henry McNeil of American Fork, district commander. Louis Bates of Payson was elected elect-ed district commander for next year, with Claude Hawkins ofj Spanish Fork, district vice-commander. These two men were also named delegate and alternate to the national convention at Kansas City. |
