Show SPRINGVILLE FLYING CLUB MEMBERS ARE PROGRESSING Rapid progress is being made in the field of aviation by members of the Springville Flying club, organized or-ganized last fall with a roster of fifteen air-minded enthusiasts. Out of the club, two members Lawrence Whitney of Mapleton and H. J. Stevenson .of Salt Lake City passed their examinations and are now holders of private flying licenses, awarded to them by the Civil Aeronautics administration adminis-tration last week. Paul Reynolds of Provo, possessed a private license li-cense before joining the club. Possessors of solo licenses in the club are: W. D. Mendenhall, Kay Mendenhall, Dell Whitney, J. Lewis Bird, Lawrence L. Beach, Kimball Larsen, all of Springville; Willis Madsen, Provo, and H. T. Jensen of Goshen. A majority of the club members mem-bers have joined the Civil Air patrol, and are carrying out or- ders outlined by the government j for home defense duties. |
