Show Max Mendenhall Wins Third Place In Amateur Contest Max Mendenhall, Springville high school graduate, and now a student at Brigham Young university, univer-sity, was awarded third place with a $15 cash award In the Para-mount-Tellurlde amaleur talent contest grand finals Friday night. Mr. Mendenhall was also recently recent-ly winner of the 1940 medu! for voice awarded each year by the class of '19 at Brigham Young university. Miss Louise Bullock, I'rovo soprano, so-prano, won the first award of a trip to Hollywood, and Zabransky and Collella, CCC camp guitar duet, won second place and $30. David Walker of the KOVO staff was master of ceremonies. John Krler, Paramount manager, and Paul D. Vincent, manager of Tel-lurlde Tel-lurlde company, presented the awards to the winners. |
