Show RED DEVILS TO PLAY NEPHI FRIDAY NIGHT A capacity crowd is expected to throng the new Springville high school gymnasium when the Red Devils meet the Nephi Wasps for the second league encounter this season. The Wasps are expected to be at full strength for the game and should be more than a match for the touted Red Devils. The Red Devils will be minus their stellar center, Gene Robertson, on Friday, Fri-day, who has been confined to his home this week with flu. Coach Hughes has been trying two or three combinations to take up the center position., but it has not been definitely decided yet just which combination will get the nod from the coach tomorrow night. The Nephi five play a very fast game. They are probably the fastest team in the circuit. Fans will undoubtedly be thrilled with the speed and polish demonstrated when these two teams get underway under-way at 8 o'clock. The game will probably be a determining factor in indicating the 19 40 league champions. Fans who will be unable to attend at-tend the game will be able to tune in on station KOVO at 8:15 when the game will be broadcast play by play, direct from the new gym. At that time, Mayor A. O. Thorn, Principal W. W. Brock-bank, Brock-bank, Coach Art Hughes, and some representatives of the team will speak to the radio audience. |
