Show Elaborate Plans Complete for Annual Gold and Green Ball WARD QUEENS, FLOOR SHOW FEATURE BALL Carrying out the traditional color scheme of green and gold, the annual Gold and Green ball will be held Friday night, Feb. 2, in the Memorial hall. Beautiful and elaborate decorations decora-tions carried out in green and gold satin will be seen throughout the hall. Decorations are being worked out under the direction of the stake activity committee, consisting of Mrs. Maude Peterson and Willis Harmer. Queens selected to represent the various wards are Ina San-ford, San-ford, First; Helen Christensen, Second; Berniece Chader, Third: Marion Patrick, Fourth, and Louise Johnson, Mapleton. The smart social function will feature an elaborate floor show which will be carried out in a unique manner this year. Each ward will sponsor a miniature float with attendants on which their queen will ride. The procession proces-sion will be led by M Men and j Gleaners carrying huge green and gold flags. M Men will carry green flags, and the Gleaners gold flags. A flag drill will be a feature fea-ture of the floor show. Trumpeters will be Norma Noll Straw and Anna Lee Walker. Approximately 20 couples will participate in the M.I. A. dance demonstration, as part of the floor show and will be led by Delia Baxter and Garth Olsen. The entire floor show is reported to be the largest and best ever staged stag-ed in Springville Gold and Green balls. |
