Show K0L0B GIRLS BEGIN BALL PRACTICE Spurred by the sun-swept fields and sudden outburst of spring, feminine Softball aspirants swarmed swarm-ed over the field' in their first practice session of the year Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at the ball park. The defending state champions will open play early in May, according ac-cording to present plans. Potential candidates who reported re-ported for workouts were: Erma Patrick, Emma Ullock, Irene Jensen, Jen-sen, Ruth Robertson, Marie Robinson, Robin-son, Enfd Ewing, Lenore Weight, Betty Davis, Beverly Twelves, Thora Johnson, Spud Hinckley, and Merle Gull. Of these candidates, candi-dates, Davis, Twelves, and Gull, are new recruits from Spanish Fork. Sponsored by Kolob Lumber Co., under the supervision tff A. G. Peterson, and under the management man-agement of Loris Parks, the girls will be out to garner more laurels laur-els to add to their state championship champion-ship record of last year. |
