Show IW. GRANT iT KIWANIS CLUB PRESIDENT Mating Also Features Talk By Arnold Koylanee On Vest War Planning J. W. Grant, local contractor, was elected president of the Kiwa-nis Kiwa-nis club at the regular meeting last Thursday evening at Memorial Memor-ial hall. He succeeds W. W. Brock-bank, Brock-bank, and with other newly-elected officers, will be installed at an early date. Edward Clyde is the newly-elected newly-elected vice-president, with Maurice Mau-rice Anderson, Frank Cranmer, Berton Groeseck, Emil Ostlund, S. E. Price, Glenn Sumsion and Howard Maycock, directors. In addition to election of officers, offi-cers, the meeting also featured an informative and interesting talk by County Attorney Arnold C. Roylance, on postwar plans. He advised that judgment of bellig- erent countries be not blinded by sympathy and he also advocated evenly balanced foreign trade as an important item in postwar planning. During the meeting, Blaine Thopre was welcomed as a new member to the club, Eileen Felix entertained with , vocal solos, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Maurice Bird. Frank Cranmer was awarded the attendance prize. The nexb meeting of the club was announced for Nov. 3, with V. C. Mendenhall. toastmaster. In charge of the meeting, was A G. Peterson, toastmaster |
