Show Big Public Meet Scheduled For Tonight At S-tLS, Fine Program Arranged In Connection With Talk By D. Howe Moffat On Purchase Of Government Bonds-Stamps The entire citizenry of Springville is expected to attend a public mass meeting at 7 :30 p. m. this evening, eve-ning, when D. Howe Moffat, deputy state administra- viur ui ueiense saving stamps ana bonds will be in Springville to explain ex-plain the importance of purchasing purchas-ing these government securities. Practically every civic gathering including the Kiwanis meeting, has been postponed so that everyone may attend. The duties of committees commit-tees which have been organized to stimulate an interest in the purchase pur-chase of stamps and bonds in this city will also be explained during the meeting. F. C. Packard, general gen-eral chairman, is in charge of the program. The American Legion will conduct con-duct a flag ceremony and the pledge of allegiance during the evening program. There are also several fine musical numbers arranged. ar-ranged. As a preliminary to the meeting, the high school band, directed by Walter Peterson, will play several patriotic numbers on Main street during the afternoon. A cordial invitation is extended to every citizen of the city to be in .attendance. |
