Show j WITH THE U, S. ARMED FORCES Morgan Greenwood left Satur-4 day for the east coast, where he is stationed in the navy. His wife, the former Fern Simkins, will remain re-main with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Simkins, for the duration. Earl Nielson, stationed with the navy on the west coast, is spending spend-ing a few days furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nielson. Niel-son. Ted Vane, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Vane, has returned to training train-ing at the Great Lakes bases, following fol-lowing a week's furlough with relatives rel-atives here. Arthur A. Gunnell, who has been with the California coast guard, was recently inducted into the army air force and is stationed in Florida. Keith Mendenhall, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Mendenhall, Jr., is spending a furlough in Springville. He has been training with the R. C. A. F. in Canada. V In a recent phone call to his parents, par-ents, Lt. Grant Nielson stated he was leaving within a short time for overseas duty and bade them goodbye. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Nielson. Lowell Crandall, son of Mrs. Eva Crandall of this city, has completed complet-ed his training at Fort Belvoir, Va., and has been commissioned as second lieutenant. He has been on a few days furlough here and during dur-ing the week went by plane to Los Angeles, Calif., to see his mother. He plans to return for a short visit with relatives here before reporting for duty at a camp In Washington. Washing-ton. Virl Harrison, son of Mr. andj Mrs. Leon Harrison of this city, . has graduated from the Ordnance school at Aberdeen, Md., and has been commissioned as second lieutenant. lieu-tenant. He is now stationed at Fort McClellan. Mrs. Harrison, the former Dorothy Dixon, recently joined her husband and is now employed em-ployed with the board of education at Aniston, Ala. |
