Show AXIS SHOWS LOSS OF STRENGTH; ALLIES STRONGER The Axis powers are weaker today to-day than when warfare began; the United Nations are stronger. The bllzkrieg has disappeared and the war of attrition is underway. While there is no certainty that the United Nations will win there is, at least, no probability that the Axis will triumph before we have a chance to wage war. Our supply lines, upon which must move men and materiel, are opfn and in our control. We have the opportunity to fight for life and the means to win the war. There will be new Axis victories victor-ies before the war ends. Those familiar with the last World War know how dangerous was Germany's Ger-many's 1918 offensive and how dark was the outlook 100 days before be-fore the Teutonic collapse.
