Following luncheon served at small tables, bridge was played with prizes going to Mrs. Eeva Roylance, Mrs. Dona Whitney, and Mrs. Harriet Burt. Special guests were Mrs. Gladys Averett, and Lola Smith. Members Mem-bers present were Mrs. Fay Hansen, Han-sen, Mrs. Helen Spafford, Mrs. Ruth Miller, Mrs. Nathalie Ookley, and Mrs. Harriet Miner, and the hostess. o BIRTHDAY PARTY HONORS CHARMIAN LONG Little Miss Charmian Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alec Long, was the guest of honor at a birthday party held at her home, Saturday, February 10. A lovely white birthday cake holding four pink candles was the feature of decorations. Re-freshements Re-freshements were served to twelve little friends, following which miscellaneous games were played. During the afternoon, a request number, "A Tisket, A Tasket", was played over station KOVO as a birthday surprise to Miss Long. COUPLE HONORED AT PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Valaeo Ostler were guests of honor at a part Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Whiting at Mapleton. A delicious luncheon was served serv-ed early in the evening following which Progressive Bunco was played with the high score prize going to Mrs. Cleo Ostler. Guests present included Mr. and Mrs. Will Whiting, Mrs. Leona Swasey, Mrs. Ardilla Perry, Mrs. Mark Perry, Harold, Elna, Rondo, and Arline Whiting of Mapleton, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ashcraft, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Ostler, Viola Jean Miner, and Fern Ostler of Springville; Spring-ville; Mr.' and Mrs. Ellet Rowen, Mrs. Belva Johnson, Ermiel Morton, Mor-ton, George, Leora, and Arthur Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ostler, Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Ostler, Ost-ler, Mrs. Erma Hanley, and Helen Tew of Provo, and Merlene Tew of Lehi, the host and hostess and guests of honor. D. U. P. CAMP KOLOB TO MEET TODAY Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Camp Kolob will meet at the home of Mrs. Andrew Peterson this afternoon af-ternoon at 2 p. m. ALPHA BETA CjLUB MEMBERS ENJOY BOOK REVIEW Mrs. E. V. Crandall was hostess hos-tess to members of the Alpha Beta club Friday at her home. Mrs. L. L. Cullimore in interesting inter-esting manner reviewed the book "Our Town," by Thornton Wilder. Musical numjbers included a piano solo by Belle Thomas and a vocal solo by Jimmy Neill. Hales of Spanish Fork wish to announce the marriage of their daughter, Audrey to Blaine Lafayette Miner of Springville on Friday, February second. The nuptial rites were performed perform-ed at the home of the bride's parents at 861 East Second South in Spanish Fork by Oscar McKell, Bishop of the Fifth Ward. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony a dinner for the immediate family and friends was served at one long table to approximately twenty guests. MRS. BLAINE MINER HONORED AT PARTY Mrs. Don Miner, and Mrs. Lois Miller were hostesses at a miscellaneous mis-cellaneous shower honoring Mrs. Blaine Miner, nee Audrey Hales of Spanish Fork, at the home of Mrs. Miller Friday evening. Luncheon was served early in the evening following which a beautiful bride's book was made by the group. Miscellaneous games were also played during the evening. even-ing. ' Approximately forty guests were in attendance. Mrs. Miner was also feted at a shower held at the home of Mrs. Wilford Hales the following week in Spanish Fork. Luncheon was served to approximately approx-imately thirty-five guests in attendance at-tendance following which miscellaneous miscell-aneous games were played. The guest of honor received many beautiful and useful gifts at both showers. DESPAINS SHOW PICTURES AT BOOK OF MORMON CLUB As a special feature, members of the Book of Mormon club were shown pictures of their Colorado River trip by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Despain. Pictures of two different trips down the river were shown and also two shorts of canyon pictures in this vicinity. Mrs. Lois Rigtrup was hostess and following the interesting illustrated il-lustrated lecture, she served a tasty luncheon to members in attendance. at-tendance. Mr. and Mrs. A. W.
