Show CITY DEATH RATE DECREASES IN PAST YEAR There have been only about one-half one-half as many deaths in Springville the past year during the first eleven months including November, Novem-ber, as in 1940, according to a report re-port from Mrs. Jack Evans, registrar regis-trar of vital statistics. Including November, there were 40 deaths in 1940, compared to 25 in the same period in 1941. Births in the eleven months of 1940 numbered num-bered 88, compared to 77 in the same period this year. A decrease in births registered in Springville is noted each year, due, it is believed, to so many babies ba-bies born in out-of-town hospitals, and therefore registered in the town in which the hospital is located. lo-cated.
