Show S. H. S. CAGERS PLAY DAVIS HERE SATURDAY Saturday's Game Will Test Strength of Devils; Reds Win Over B. Y. High Springville will tangle with the Davis county high school here Saturday Sat-urday night at 8 p. m., in what is expected to be one of the best preseason pre-season tilts scheduled here. Davis, last year's second place team in the Utah state high school basketball tournament, has defeated defeat-ed some of the outstanding teams in the state to date and will be out to add another victory to their list Saturday night. Coach Art Hughes has a rangy group of fellows fel-lows and should give the Davis team a real ball game. Monday night, the Red Devils defeated the B. Y. high school 36 to 31 in an interesting battle. The Red Devils looked good in spots, especially since the game was their first encounter. The Sophomore quint of the locals lo-cals lost to the visiting B. Y. boys 28 to 17. i Saturday's contest will probably probab-ly find Blaine Johnson, elongated center, holding down the pivot position; po-sition; Captain Lyman Rothwell and "Teasy" Teasdale, midget of the team, playing the forward positions, po-sitions, with Glen Clark and Dick Miner on the guard line. Saturday's contest will be the second preseason pre-season tilt here. |
