Show Fathers and Scouts to Participate In Two-Day Canyon Camp Outing Full Program of Events Outlined to Take Place Friday and Saturday at Camp in Pole Haven Friday and Saturday, May 24 and 25, scouts and their fathers will participate in a canyon outing at Pole Haven in Hobble Creek canyon. On Friday afternoon it is requested re-quested that everyone have their camp set up by four o'clock. From four until 5:30 a ball game will be the featured event under the direction of Bishop A. G. Peterson. Peter-son. From seven to eight-thirty a variety of contests will be conducted con-ducted by Reed Rigtrup. Highlight of the day's activities, activi-ties, a program under the direction direc-tion of Claude Salisbury, will begin be-gin at eight o'clock. Each ward will give two numbers and a scout executive, Verl Dixon, of Provo, will be the speaker. After the program, Monty Groesbeck will conduct a study of astronomy. On Saturday, a nature study under the direction of J. F. Win-gate; Win-gate; a scavenger hunt with Tom Wheeler in charge, and a presentation presen-tation of the color guard with Russell Laney in charge, will be the main events of the day. The entire outing is under the general chairmanship of Tom Wheeler, camp executive. |
