Show tAV . 4 Club Members Enjoy Vacation Pictures ; X"triP to Florida, viewing an 'alligator farm, then to Cuba and return by way of Texas and another an-other journey to the Hawaiian Islands Is-lands were taken by members of the Ladies Literary Club via moving mov-ing picture slides shown by Mrs. G Lowry Anderson and Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Clyde at their meeting last Thursday evening. The meeting was held at the ;home of Mrs. C. A. Smith and "preceding the program, the hostess host-ess served a nicely arranged luncheon. lunch-eon. Mrs. DelMoyne Christensen -and Mrs. Harmon Hatch were .guests. ! In connection with their pictures, pic-tures, Mrs. Clyde and Mrs. Anderson And-erson told of the many interesting interest-ing spots and the beautiful scenery scen-ery viewed by them and their husbands during recent vacation trips taken by Mayor and Mrs. Clyde to Hawaii and by Mr. and Mrs. Anderson to Florida and 'Cuba. Mrs. G. W. Sumsion, club president pres-ident conducted a short business .meeting during which Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Clyde was nominated as the i club's candidate for the mother of the year. Mrs. Sumsion also re-i re-i ported on her attendance at the meeting of the Hospital Guild in 1 Provo and suggested some things ! the club might do to assist with the Guild program, t The next meeting of the club was announced for April 12, to 'be at the home of Mrs. Howard Maycock. |
