Show v Officers Varn on High Water, Unlocked Autos Parents are being asked this week to give special warning to their children regarding the rising waters in Hoble Creek. Chief H. M. Weight states that the water Is getting higher each day in the creek and also water is being turned tur-ned into irrigation ditches. Both are dangerous to small children. Police officers caution school children also to stay away from the creek banks and not to play near the bridges. Officers also issued a warning to adults and others to lock their cars when leaving them for any length of time. Some items have been taken ta-ken from parked cars about town, which have been left unlocked and unattended, the latest theft being last Thursday night when two blankets were taken from a car near the high school gymnasium. The same evening part of a load of scrap iron was reported stolen from the Bill Ruff Garage. |
