Show Scout Week Begins Sunday Special Activity Planned Heralding the beginning of Scout Week activities activi-ties in Springville, February 6 to 12, wall be Courts of Honor and special programs presented by the Scouts in ine various i .i 'a waras ouuuay evening meetings. Troop 121 will conduct their Honor Court at a pot luck supper at the Fireman's Hall Tuesday evening instead of a Sunday program pro-gram and the Mapleton Scouts are sponsoring a banquet on Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. The Fourth ward announced a special program Sunday . evening with Commissioner Elwood Lover-idge Lover-idge to be the speaker. Parents especially are asked to support this meeting. Darrell Martin, committee com-mittee chairman will be in charge at the Fourth ward. Other events planned in connection connec-tion with the week's observance are displays of Scout handiwork in most of the Springville store windows and social gatherings, climaxed cli-maxed with the Winter Outing in Payson canyon Saturday. Commissioner Loveridge said that the latter event will include all Scouts and Explorer Scouts 11 to 16 years. Barbecued meat will be furnished and the Scouts are to furnish the bread and their own drinks as well as transportation. Training School In connection with Scout work, Commissioner Loveridge also announced an-nounced a training session on February Feb-ruary 16 for Springville Scout leaders, further details on which will be announced next week. |
