Show Funeral Services j Friday for James A. Black Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Friday at 10 a.m., in the First ward chapel, for James A. Black, 71, who died Monday at his home, ,666 East Seventh South, follow-5 follow-5 ing a long illness. X Services will also be conducted I at Blinding on Saturday and bur-' bur-' ial will take place in that city. Friends may call at the Claudin Funeral home 1200 North Main St., Thursday evening and Friday before the services. Mr. Black was born in Order-ville, Order-ville, Utah April 15, 1883, and spent his boyhood there. Mr. Black lived at Blanding and later at Price before moving to Springville about ten years ago. He followed the occupation of farming and was a member of the LDS church. ' ! He was married to Susan Catherine Cath-erine Davidson October 23, 1904. She died in 1938. He later married Vera Watkins. Surviving are his wife and 14 sons and daughters: Benjamin Black of Orem; Richard, Provo, and Verdell Black of Provo; Mrs. Leona Hawks and Mrs. Margie Herbacke of Moab; Mrs. Thelma Winters and Mrs. Roxie Winters of Elmo; Mrs. Rose Olsen and Mrs. Kay Gibson of -Castlegate; Mrs. Edith Stewart and Mrs. LaDean Weight of Springville by the first marriage; Jimmie and . Lewis Black, by the second marriage; also two step-daughters, Mrs. Georgia Fay Reid of Orem and Mrs. Venita Shaffer of Calif., and 74 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. |
