Show Ninth Ward Sets Triple Header Cage Games Friday Night In SHS Gym Sponsored by the Ninth ward as a benefit, a full evening of basketball has been planned for Friday nipht with three crames scheduled in the high school r- o gym beginning at 6:30 p.m. Opening the triple header will he the Third ward M Men playing play-ing the Blanding- high school cag-er.s. cag-er.s. Following the 6:30 game, Spanish Span-ish Fork First wart), coached by fhis Black, will meet the Salt Lake .'i.'ird ward team coached by Glen Sanford, former Ut.e, and SHS cage star. The Spanish Fork five is the leading club in Palmyra while 33rd boasts a top team. Climaxing the evening play vill be that of the Ninth ward vs Grayson Gray-son ward of Blanding. Grayson is the All-Churnh champion of last year and this year's edition is composed of practically the same team members. The benefit sports program is being sponsored to help raise funds for purchasing new suits for the ward and take care of other expenses ex-penses of the sports program, officers of-ficers stated. Members of the Ninth ward team, which is currently leading the Kolob M Men stake race, are iJoug Smoot, Mark Hoover, Brent naymond, Terry Selin, Packard Condie, Cornell Blssell, Loyal Hastings Has-tings and Keith Boren. Walter Wnlser is coaching the club. Listed on the Third ward team are Gordon Crandall, Marlin Giles, Max Giles, Gordon Smith, Erwin Haws, Niel Sumsion and Wayne Haws, coach. |
