Show Bird Brown Named Republican Precinct Chairman Springville Republicans reorganized reorgan-ized the precinct and adopted resolutions res-olutions regarding the duties of precinct committeemen at an annual an-nual meeting held on Wednesday evening of last week at Memorial hall. In the absence of Chairman Jex Boyack due to illness, Bird Brown acted as temporary chairman calling call-ing the meeting to order. Officers elected include Bird Brown, precinct pre-cinct chairman succeeding Mr. Boyack; Mrs. Vera Perham, vice-chairwoman: vice-chairwoman: Lawrence Lynn, secretary sec-retary and treasurer. B. M. Jolley of Orem, county-chairman, county-chairman, was the speaker of the evening discussing the methods of regoranization and explaining the duties of the officers. It was resolved that the district chairmen be on the advisory committee com-mittee to work with the precinct chairman. A resolution was also passed calling for the appointment of two committeemen to work with the county. ' Sterling Price was named on the finance committee and Arvil Bird was appointed to work on the steering committee to see that each city in the county is recognized recog-nized in the county election. The state organization convention conven-tion was announced for Saturday, May 8, at Rainbow Randevue, Salt Lake City, when the First and Second congressional district organization or-ganization convention is also called after the state meet. |
