They came especially to see Mrs. Jones who was in an automobile accident. I Ilr. Gale Shoemaker, Los An- I geles, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Oerrid Plerve, Las Vegas, Nev., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Gustin. Mrs. Gustin is a sister of the two ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Muslin returned re-turned recently from a 10-day trip to Colorado. While on the trip they visited Grand Junction and Me.-a Verde National Park. l'rovo Park was the scene of a family reunion of the Gustin fam- Martha a week at their home in American Fork. Matt and Mar-bus Mar-bus two children stayed with heir grandparents, the Bernard uibcrt.sons in Springville while the mother was in the hospital. l"r. and Mrs. Willis Weight "Pent the 2-ltli holiday weekend with Mrs. Weight's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Van Noy in Salt lake City. 4 Mr. and Mrs. Keith Weight and family returned Monday from a weeks vacation trip spent at Sun Valley and in Yellowstone Park. At Sun Valley they spent some time and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith, former residents of Springville who operate a motel mo-tel at Kctchum near Sun Valley. The Weights also visited Mr. Weight's brother Ted and family nt Mammoth and also liis mother, Mrs. Leon M. Weight of Provo, who is spending a month at the park. Douglas I, and Jennie Sinoot have purchased a new home in Provo at 2G8 East Second North and are moving from Springville and the home at 395 East First North where they have lived the past fifteen years. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Kelly, former residents of Springville, 'have returned re-turned to their home in Berkeley, Calif., following a three-weeks Jown . . . They made the trip both ways by plane. Mr. and Mrs. l inlov Kovlmu-e and laniily and Mr. and Mrs Max Sumsion and son returned home recently from an enjoyable vacation vaca-tion trip to Yellowstone Park Mrs. llyruni C.reenhalgh of Og- don. formerly of Springville has returned re-turned to her home following a visit in Springville with former Brooksido neighbors and friends. Her daughter Carol has also been visiting at the home of Kay Frand-sen. Frand-sen. Mrs. Greonhalgh was the house guest of Mr. and Mrs Lynn l'avis and also spent a night with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Weight and two children Wendv and Larry of Pasadena, Calif., spent the past week in Springville, guests of Mr. Weight's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight and other relatives. While they were here, a brother, Paul Weight and wife entertained at a family party at their home and several other functions were given in their honor. Mr. Weight is attending the Pasadena City College Col-lege where he is majoring in business bus-iness management and he is also employed in an airplane factory making precision instruments. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Pierce have gone to Ann Arbor, Mich., to visit their daughter Margaret and her husband Edwin Dean, who is attending at-tending school, and their two sons. The Deans and the Pierces plan to attend the Hill Cumorah sacred sac-red pageant August 11, 12, and 13 and will also visit many places of interest in New York City. The Pierces will then spend another week with their daughter and son-in-law in Ann Arbor before re-, turning. , Mrs. Louise Pope of Chattanooga, Chattan-ooga, Tenn., mother of Mrs. Matt Robertson, arrived in Springville recently to be with a daughter who has just been released from the Utah Valley hospital. Mrs. Robertson entered the hospital for observation and later underwent under-went surgery which confined her to the hospital three weeks. Mrs. Pope visited at the Bernard Robertson Rob-ertson home in Springville until her daughter was released and planned to stay with her daughter |
