Show a- i - Mapleton Mews By Mrs. Norris T. Binks Phone IIU 9-5875 Mr. and Mrs. Dan Decker of Provo were weekend visitors at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Warren Beardall. They left from here for Snowflake. Ariz., where they will visit his folks for a month before moving to Ur-bana. Ur-bana. 111., where Dan has a fellowship fellow-ship to teach in the University there. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Larsen and family of Seattle, Wash., are spending a week, at the home of her sister and husband Mr. and Mrs. Reid M. Hales. Other visitors at the Hales home is Mrs. Blaine Hales and baby daughter, also of Seattle. Mrs. Ardilla Perry went to the Manti Temple Friday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Perry of Provo to witness the marriage of her grandson Newell Perry to Miss Claudia Jean Mangum of Bicknell, Utah. A wedding reception was given for them the evening of the same day at Bicknell and another reception will be given for them Saturday in Provo at the home of an uncle, Claude Hawkins, where friends and relatives will be greeted greet-ed in the beautifully lighted gardens gar-dens of his home. Newell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Perry of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks spent the weekend in Salt Lake City with relatives. Mrs. C. W. Erickson returned home with them and will spend several days with them. Mr. and Mrs. Carlo Perkins and family of Salt Lake City have been guests- at the home .of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Warren during the past week. Mrs. Perkins is the former Connie Warren. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wilson and daughter Jerry Lee of Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Calif., have been spending their vacation visiting relatives and friends in Mapleton, Springville Spring-ville and Spanish Fork. Their son Robert and his wife and baby daughter returned to California with them. Mrs. Naomi Beardall entertained the members of Camp Union DUP and a few neighbors at a farewell party for Mrs. Ruth Anderson who plans to move to the Uintah Basin in August. The time was spent in embroidering dish towels which were presented to Mrs. Anderson as a going away gift. Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Robertson and three children of Dptrnit f reshments were served to approximately ap-proximately 14 club members. Don, Patsy and Joan Mower have returned to their home in Bell Gardens, Calif., after spending a month visiting at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Binks. Other visitors at the Binks home has been a neice and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bowen of Fresno, Calif. Mich., are guests at the home of their parents Mr, and Mrs. Freeman Free-man Bird of Mapleton and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Robertson of Springville. Dr. Robertson will visit one week before going to Bremerton, Wash., where he will do medical work for the navy. Mrs. Robertson,. Barbara and the children will remain for a week or two longer before joining him in Washington where they plan to make their home. ' Mrs. Carma Frandsen was hostess hos-tess to the mmebers of her club at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Hopla Wednesday night of last week. A fine evening of entertainment was furnished by Mrs. Greta Andreason who showed films of . Norway. Pe-1 . Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Hopla accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Darcy Dove of Provo and Mrs. Carma Frandsen enjoyed a visit to Salt Lake City on Pioneer Day where they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Casper and spent the afternoon after-noon at Home Stead in Provo Canyon. Swimming and lunch were enjoyed there. , Mr. and Mrs. Ray Woffinden and family of Richmond, Calif., were Mapleton visitors Sunday. They are spending their vacation at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Mackley of Provo and with his parents at Benjamin. Ben-jamin. i |
