Show Parachute-' Jumper Writes Thanks Dear Editor, I would like to drop you a line telling you of my appreciation for sending me the Springville Herald. A letter from home is the one thing a soldier really looks forward for-ward to. But the Springville Herald Her-ald is the one thing we all look forward to reading once a week. It has so many interesting articles in it that otherwise we would hear nothing about. I enjoy it very much and send you all my thanks for sending me my copy. I am . now working on special duty at the officers' golf club. I have been here approximately two months now and will remain here until I am discharged unless un- known circumstances arise. I have been playing quite a bit Of gaiU and find it quite an enjoyable en-joyable game and a very good pastime. I enjoy jumping very much, except ex-cept just before the jump. I have never yet found a more quiet place than that 12,000 feet in the air My address has changed again and I would appreciate it very much if you would send my copy of the paper to Jess E. Barton U.S. 28930366, Officers Golf Club! Fort Campbell, Ky. It is nice here in Kentucky, but it is no comparison to Springville. Again I say thanks for sending me the paper and I hope every other soldier enjoys his copy as much as I do mine. Jess E. Barton Editors Note: Jess is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. M.
